It's a new year, and sometimes that means trying new things or even taking the idea of out with the old and in with the new to a whole new level. As we head into 2024, we have decided to take the idea of bringing in new things to heart, starting with the kitchen. And what better way to do that than with a new chef's knife?

If you are anything like us, you may have knives and kitchen utensils that have seen some things. We always use them and they are definitely not as nice as they once were. So as we kickstart a whole new year, we have decided to shake things up in our kitchen. In this case that meant trying something new as well.

For us, that new thing is an eight inch chef's knife from the brand Hast. We had the opportunity to try this knife for ourselves and it was definitely a new experience in a lot of ways.

The Hast 8" Chef's Knife is stunning tool that just feels different in the hand

Not only is the quality of this knife amazing, but even just the feel in your hand is different from basically every knife currently residing in our kitchen. The knife was perfectly balanced and just felt high quality. And since it is a high quality piece, that makes sense.

As the brand itself explains about their chef's knife, it "is the perfect everyday knife—ideal for dicing fruits and vegetables, cutting through thick cuts of meat, or even chopping herbs." It is truly an every day type of knife and one that can seemingly do it all. And we happen to love the sleekness of the knife as well.

Ranging in price between $99 and $119, depending on the finish of the knife, this is definitely an investment for many of us. But if you are looking for a high quality knife that will change the way you handle yourself in the kitchen, then it is totally worth splurging on.

After trying this knife from Hast, we absolutely want to check out more of their products to see how well they live up to their promise. And we are especially curious about their bread knife, as it truly looks like something we would see on TV or in a fine dining restaurant.

Hast has definitely convinced us that we need to seriously consider investing in new kitchen tools. And we can only hope that 2024 brings even more quality pieces like this chef's knife into our homes.
