A cheerful sparkling wine company and an equally cheerful and bubbly Real Housewife of New York are partnering for a special “holiday cheer break” promotion.
La Marca has teamed up Brynn Whitfield to make this holiday season sparkle for one very lucky winner of the “Dolce Delivery” contest. Contestants can enter through December 10 @LaMarcaProsecco on Instagram for the chance to have Whitfield come attend their holiday gathering and bring a “Dolce Delivery” of Prosecco glasses, and an ice bucket, as well as $1,000 to spend on party essentials.
“When I partnered with La Marca, I said ‘How can we make this not typical, how can we make this not a typical giveaway?’” says Whitfield. “So, instead, I’m going to literally go and bring some festive holiday cheer to people.”
To enter the contest, people need to simply answer four questions on Instagram, and the winner will be selected based on responses and creativity of entry. “I grew up in Indiana, and a big thing to my grandmother, in addition to the Powerball, was entering the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes. This feels very Publisher’s Clearing House, as I’m going to show up at your door,” Whitfield says.
The contest is open to anyone 21 and over living in the United States (excluding New Jersey, Utah and Virginia) and the District of Columbia. Since the announcement of the contest on Instagram today, Whitfield says she’s fielded several messages from folks living elsewhere who desire a little bit of a holiday cheer break. “I’d love it we could take this globally,” she says.
In case you don’t win or aren’t eligible to win, Whitfield recommends taking a “cheer break” anyway. “It’s taking that moment - it’s physical, but it’s also emotional,” she says. “It’s taking a little time out, being present and being in the moment. Why take a regular break when you can take a cheer break? It just sounds more fun.”
To take a proper cheer break, Whitfield recommends popping the cork off of a bottle of La Marca Prosecco, then sitting with a friend or a loved one, preferably in person, but if not, Facetime or call. “But don’t talk about the regular stuff,” she says. “Don’t talk about your job and don’t complain. Ask some silly or thought-provoking questions and have fun.”
One question Whitfield suggests is “What would you do, if you died, but could come back for a week yet you couldn’t see anybody you knew?” “The idea is to ask them something you wouldn’t typically talk about,” Whitfield says.
The partnership between Whitfield and La Marca came about after Whitfield struck up a relationship online. “I only want to partner with brands that are literally in my house, and I’m a crazy stalker,” Whitfield says. “I started to stalk La Marca, slid intro the DM’s, and months later, here we are.”
“It’s just amazing to work with them,” she says. “They’re a brand I love, plus this is a time of year that I love, and I love to keep the holiday spirit year-round, festive and fun.”
