Based in Baltimore, MD, and founded by a Mother-Daughter duo in 2018, 2Betties is on a mission to make healthy snacks approachable and fun for all. From fed-up consumers to motivated producers, 2Betties Rounds are a truly nutritious and delicious treat.
Currently offered in six delicious flavors: Chocolate Chunk, Maple Cinnamon, Sweet Almond, Mocha Chip, Vanilla Bean, and Pumpkin Spice. 2Betties core ingredients are almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, and honey, and all 2Betties Rounds flavors are certified Non-GMO through the Non-GMO Project. With new flavors on the way, as well as considerable growth on their D2C channel, 2Betties is building the most reliable and trusted healthy snack company from the ground up.
While at college, Co-Founder Bridget found her energy fading between classes, work, and club sports practice. Convinced the snack bars she was consuming mid-day were the culprit for her sugar crash, she decided to make her own healthy snacks with nutrient-dense ingredients and no-refind sugar. With an increasing demand for her recipe, Bridget turned to Mom and businesswoman Nancy for advice and a big question, will you be my partner? Their shared desire to make healthy snacking more approachable would be their driving force to turn Bridget's grain-free granola recipe into a delicious snack with quality ingredients and balanced nutrition. Working with a local chef to ensure taste and a food scientist to ensure safety, 2Betties is on a mission to become the most loved and trusted healthy snack food company. And what's with the name? A betty is a confident woman or a best friend in some female circles, and to add, a betty is anyone who doesn't stand for the status quo.
Bridget got a B.S. in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. During college, Bridget worked part-time, played Club Lacrosse, and volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club. Her crazy schedule led her on a mission to find a truly tasty, healthy on-the-go snack. Fed up with the options available she began experimenting with the recipe that became the base for 2Betties Rounds. Bridget brought her tasty treats home and got mom on board to launch 2Betties. Bridget obsession with design and health gives her the skills to wear many hats including Chief Product Officer and head of all things to do with branding and marketing. She kicks back in the gym or Pilates studio, in the horseback ring or on the ski slopes, or cuddled up with a good book.
Nancy spent over three decades as an owner of UGC, United Communications Group an MD-based information company. She honed her operational skills with an emphasis on sales and marketing as UGC grew into a portfolio of nine companies and helped to lead a smooth divestiture as assets were sold off. Nancy received her B.S. in Political Science from Rider University in 1982 and graduated from Harvard Business School’s OPM program in 2002. With a lifetime of giving back through her business career at UGC, the launch of 2Betties has fed her insatiable desire to help others. When she’s not running the numbers or thinking about the next revenue surge Nancy enjoys time at the beach, skiing, horseback riding, and traveling with her family.
