NEW YORK, August 12, 2020 – The Brooklyn-based food startup Belgian Boys has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Three-year revenue growth of 253% earned the company a number 1700 ranking, an impressive standing in the list’s overall top 35%, and in the top 50 companies among Food and Beverage brands.
“We’ve spent the last few years putting all of the pieces in place to drive next-level growth at Belgian Boys: We’ve rolled out exciting product innovations, created fun, disruptive packaging, built strong retail partnerships, launched our own direct-to-consumer website, and, most of all, grew a world-class team,” says Anouck Gotlib, Belgian Boys CEO. “It is such an honor to have our successes recognized by inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list.”
Belgian Boys began as a way to introduce consumers in the United States to the most beloved snacks from Belgium and other parts of Europe. The product line now includes fresh and frozen breakfast options, frozen desserts, and individually-packaged cookies and treats, all made in Europe with premium, non-GMO ingredients. The brand has recently expanded into Walmart and Amazon, and has ramped up its direct-to-consumer monthly sales by 710% in 2020.
The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 come from nearly every realm of business,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “From health and software to media and hospitality, the 2020 list proves that no matter the sector, incredible growth is based on the foundations of tenacity and opportunism.”

ABOUT Belgian Boys:
Our story begins with Skinny & Chubby, two childhood friends transplanted as adults in New York City, where the world was at their fingertips—but the delicious European goodies of their youth were nowhere to be found. They dreamed of introducing America to treats made from premium, whole-food ingredients, with just the right touch of sweetness and the feeling of home: From this snack nostalgia, Belgian Boys was born. Skinny and Chubby now manufacture delights for every time of day, from breakfast to dessert, all made in Europe for sharing worldwide. With whimsical “disruptive” packaging, indulgent flavors, and a dose of fun in every sweet, join the Belgian Boys as they stir up trouble and share their love for authentic European treats. www.belgianboys.com.
