Founded in 2016, Foreal Foods is a line of meatless coconut jerky snacks launched by Brooklyn based CPG brand, Cocoburg. The vegan-friendly, minimal ingredient snack is made from young coconut meat upcycled from the wastestream of coconut water production, marinated in whole food ingredients, and dehydrated into perfectly chewy and insanely snackable morsels. The grab-n-go superfood treat has a remarkable flavor and texture similar to meat jerky and is available in four savory traditional-jerky flavors (1.5 oz individually-sized bags; $5.99) including: Original, Ginger Teriyaki, Chili Lime, and the newest product, Nothing But Coconut.

Nothing But Coconut is the only single-ingredient, dried young coconut product in the United States. Tender strips of young coconut are dehydrated to perfection. Ideal for healthy snacking, or as an ingredient for any young coconut needs.

Foreal Food coconut jerkies are made with real food plant-based ingredients and are specialty diet-friendly with options for keto, paleo, AIP, low fod map, gluten-Free, soy-free, and low glycemic index lifestyles. #safesnacking

Founding Story

Within the fast-growing vegan snack category, Foreal Foods was the first brand to release a soy-free, gluten-free plant based jerky. As an all too rare real food product, Foreal Foods is committed to always maintaining a clean label.

Cocoburg plans to continue to pursue growth in coconut-based innovation and beyond, while providing customers with affordable, nutritious real food options. Working in the coconut industry over the years, the brand has built a reputation and large network in Southeast Asia, the epicenter of the world’s coconut production, cementing their status as pioneers in the category. Core to Cocoburg’s mission is a commitment to keeping it’s production process in the countries of origin, further supporting economically disadvantaged communities by creating high-value jobs.
