Launched in August 2023, House of Amao is a luxury olfactory company focused on creating intoxicating candles and fragrances with reduced toxicity, and zero waste in mind. We also keep reusability as part of our core philosophy. Though we offer a luxurious brand and products, the candles we create were born from a place of necessity. In our home, we had not burned a single candle in over 4 years due to the effects they had on our household. As a result, we embarked on a journey to create candles and fragrances that did NOT trigger headaches, allergies, create that horrible smell after it's blown out, or even create that odd sensation you get in the back of your throat while/after burning.

In our search, House of Amao was born, with "Amao" being a combo of our daughter's first and last name! We kicked off our brand with candles and did not cut any corners. Here are some pillars of our products.

#1 - Our candles are meticulously handcrafted and made in batches with top quality ingredients that are skin safe, vegan friendly, toxin free, cruelty free and pet safe. We use coconut or coconut apricot wax, which are top luxury waxes in the candle making world. These waxes are made from renewable sources, skin safe, pet safe, vegan, and burns longer than soy or parrafin wax candles.

#2 - The wax we use do not have the deforestation impact that soy does or the toxins found in paraffin wax. It also emits less pollution during manufacturing than soy wax and the wax returns to a clean smooth surface after each burn.

#3 - Our wicks are made of crackling wooden wicks, which simulates the crackle of a fire place and adds an extra layer of a soothing effect to your ambiance.

#4 - As we explore the indulgent art of fragrances, luxury, and ambiance, we continuously create unique scent in-house that we hope you enjoy as much as we do.

#5 - We also do not use any artificial colorants in our candles.

#6 - Our reusable jars add an understated elegance and powerful ambiance to any environment.

#7 - As we grow, we will aim for plastic free or 100% reusable/sustainable packaging.

On this exploration, we are choosing to redefine the meaning of luxury in this space i.e it is not just about how much you spend on a product. To us, luxury is an experience! It is about carving out an exceptional moment in time with our products. It is about escorting the senses on a journey of indulgent bliss through a multi-sensorial escapade.
