Maison Sybarite was launched at the end of 2019 with their collection of sophisticated, gender neutral perfumes entirely conceived, manufactured, and packaged in France. Driven by a vision to change the face of the perfume industry in a safe and sustainable way, Maison Sybarite ensures that their fragrances are all created in a safe and sustainable manner. The name ‘Sybarite’ originates from antiquity’s lavishly progressive city, Sybaris, now known as Calabria, a beautifully rugged coastal area in southern Italy. Sybarites were advanced for their time and emphasised balanced lifestyle choices to increase productivity, improve quality of life, appreciate harmonious coexistence with nature and heighten transcendental mindfulness. Inspired by the highest standards of clean beauty, this truly luxurious brand has launched the first ever water-based fine fragrance line for the health-conscious and eco-friendly consumer. Maison Sybarite originally tapped famous French master perfumer, Antoine Lie, to help create the collection’s four (out of their five) most distinguished scents (720, Opulent Wood, Bed of Roses and newest scent Amber Gaze). Lie was raised in Strasbourg, France, before moving to Grasse to study fragrance under world-famous perfumers Jean Carles and, eventually, Jean Guichard. Lie is a true artist of his craft. Over the course of his career, Lie has formulated some of the most coveted scents in the industry, including Armani Code and Black Code, Versace Crystal Noir, and Tom Ford Café Rose. The combination of Maison Sybarite’s health-conscious aspirations and Antoine’s visionary expertise have produced a collaborative collection that is both rare and bold.
