Malua is a delicious prebiotic bite made with a range of nutrient-dense superfoods and green banana powder - a gluten-free, low-sugar flour that feeds the microbiome with resistant starch and rich nutrients to give that glow-from-within. Malua's first line includes three flavors: Vanilla Almond, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Lemon Cashew. On a mission to make microbiome health approachable with functional products that taste good and fit into the busy lives of consumers, Malua is vegan, made with whole food ingredients and contains nothing artificial.

Founding Story

Malua was founded by Carolina Poli, a Health Coach and mom of 2. She was born and raised in Brazil, where different superfoods are a regular part of people's diet. She discovered green banana, a popular superfood in Brazil, in her late teens and began incorporating it into her daily routine. She was amazed by the incredible health benefits that this simple ingredient was providing her: improved digestion, clear skin and a strong immune system. When she moved to the United States a few years later, she wanted to keep green banana in her diet and began experimenting with different recipes. It turned out that her homemade snack bites were the most convenient way to consume her favorite ingredient while keeping up with a busy lifestyle. She shared her recipe with friends who loved the taste, but more importantly, loved the way that the bites made them feel so she thought it was time for more people to start experiencing the benefits of her prebiotic bites!
