Zivolife is a described as a daily functional whole plant that provides bioavailable protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Unlike so many manufactured greens blends on the market, Zivolife is a whole plan. It is grown in the deserts of Peru using ancient farming techniques. The greens are harvested by hand, dried and vacuum sealed, and delivered fresh directly to the consumer.
Zivolife is 100 percent Klebsormidium flaccidum. Scientists believe the plant Klebsormidium flaccidum is the essential evolutionary link between aquatic algae and land plants. It is thought that Klebsormidium evolved to exploit the most diverse nutrient compounds available on land and sea, becoming exceptionally nutritious.
It's bio-adaptation meant it could withstand extreme conditions, including UV radiation, freezing/boiling temperatures, and starvation. As a result, its biomass components (proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids) have similarities to plants yet present unique bioactive compounds not necessarily found in other algae species or plant products.
Founding Story
1933: Entrepreneurs notice a low incidence of arthritis and other autoimmune diseases in the villages surrounding an alpine lake in Germany and decide to collect the local water.
1945-1980: The water from the Alpine Lake is transported to the United States and cultivated. This water sample, considered a polyculture containing various aquatic species such as algae, fungi, and microorganisms, becomes the basis for a home remedy known as Lebenszeit, which translates to “lifetime” in English. Once the microorganisms are strained and removed, Lebenszeit is consumed as a drink.
1980-2003: Lebenszeit is commercialized and marketed as ProAlgaZyme. While cultivation methods are refined and standardized during this period, the product remains small-scale. ProAlgaZyme continues to be sold as a concentrated liquid, with the microorganisms from the polyculture removed.
2003-2016: Zivo Bioscience, Inc. (ZIVO) acquires the technology and embarks on scientific research to elucidate the product’s specific health benefits and substantiate health claims through studies in both humans and animals. Research supports the benefits of ProAlgaZyme in cardiovascular health, autoimmune disorders, inflammation, weight loss, and disease recovery.
2003-2023 Through extensive research, Zivo Bioscience identifies Klebsormidium as the key bioactive organism and subsequently isolates, registers, and develops cultivation methods for Klebsormidium flaccidum var ZL01, also known as Zivolife. ZIVO continues to expand its understanding of the culture and health benefits through scientific studies and patents utilizing biomass from Klebsormidium flaccidum var ZL01.
